Blog - Insights and Ideas on Unified Communications as a Service

Delivering the Future of Workplace Communications, Today

This week, Forrester recognized Fuze as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Unified-Communications-As-A-Service (UCaaS) Providers, Q3 2019.

Forrester evaluated nine unified-communications-as-a-service vendors across 31 criteria and an extensive product evaluation, specifically looking at each company’s current offering, strategy, and market presence. Earning the highest possible scores in the report for the team messaging client app, meeting application, mobility, APIs and SDKs, and the integrations criteria, Fuze was noted by Forrester as “a solid fit for large enterprises looking for an exceptional user experience, direct sales and service support with excellent customer success management, and the ability to support global deployments.”

We believe this recognition from Forrester validates Fuze’s proven track record of providing global enterprises with best-in-class unified communications and collaboration tools. It also affirms our forward-thinking vision and commitment to customers who view us as a trusted technology partner on their digital transformation journey.

As the modern workforce evolves, it requires a visionary approach to keep pace with the future of work. Forrester continues to embrace this philosophy by looking at where the market is going instead of dwelling on where it has been.

Forrester Research’s “Guide to the Future of Work,[1]” offers insight into how business leaders can best prepare for the impact of automation in the workplace. According to Forrester’s research, automation will result in a 29 percent decrease in jobs for single-domain knowledge workers, physical workers, function-specific knowledge workers, location-based workers, coordinators, and cubicle jobs by 2030. Fuze continues to see the coexistence of UCaaS providers as the next frontier in the future of work—taking best-in-breed platforms to create the ultimate communications hub.

Solving Today's Communication Problems for Tomorrow's Business Innovation

Fuze has taken a similar approach to meeting future workforce needs by focusing on how unified communications will evolve. Earlier this year, Fuze released a new global study, Productivity @ Work: The Fuze Communications Index, that points toward communications and collaboration trends by harnessing global usage data from five million workers. This study not only uncovers current worker communications preferences, but highlights how new technologies are facilitating an overall cultural shift in how we work. This research and the interaction with our customers, helps us optimize Fuze products along with our implementation, adoption, and success programs.

The most holistic approach for reporting the UCaaS vendor landscape.

What makes Forrester’s evaluation process for the Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) Wave™ particularly unique is, in our view, its focus and thoughtful technical analysis of each vendor’s offeringexamining how each vendor’s platform addresses business critical use cases and supports digital transformation within an organization. While most analyst firms focus on surveys and customer references through an online survey, we believe that Forrester measures the various technologies and talks to vendor references to better understand how the given solution will fit into the current, and future, customer ecosystem. This “fit” is often the deciding factor for many organizations when purchasing a communications and collaboration platform. As a buyer of technology, I believe this differentiates Forrester’s approach to reporting the state of the market.

As the market increasingly moves away from premise based UC toward UCaaS, Forrester encourages customers to look for vendors that:

  • Provide a unified client that supports calling, messaging, and meetings.
  • Have global reach for sales and support.
  • Offer customer success management geared to business value.
  • Deliver a full-fledged application development program.

Receiving the maximum score possible in the “Product Vision” and “Execution Roadmap” criteria, we believe this recognition is a testament to Fuze’s ability to provide large enterprises with unmatched global voice and exceptional user experiences.

The Fuze product and supporting Cloud Enablement programs have been purpose-built for the enterprise, helping multinational organizations effortlessly integrate unified voice, video, messaging, and content sharing platform into their existing environment, delivering measurable business value today while providing a foundation for how we will collaborate in the future of work.

We are honored to be named a Leader in The Forrester Wave™:  Unified Communications-As-A-Service (UCaaS) Providers, Q3 2019. As the unified communications market continues to evolve, we remain committed to helping global organizations prepare for the next wave of the digital economy.
