The Future of Work is Mobile; It’s Transformative; It’s Here

Earlier this year, Fuze took a look at the driving factors that are shaping the future of work through our Breaking Barriers 2020 research report. From this research, it became overwhelmingly clear that how people work is expanding beyond the typical four wall, office confines, as technology is powering employees to work from everywhere. Driven by the influx of millennials and the app generation in the workforce, CIOs are seeing a massive opportunity to enable employees to be more productive an efficient regardless of their working style or location.
Understanding the future of work extends beyond preparing for the generations to come – it impacts your ability to attract top level talent in an already fiercely competitive market. According to the Breaking Barriers report, across generations, 83 percent of workers do not believe they need to be in an office to be productive and 70 percent inherently want to be more mobile at work. Building an infrastructure that enables employees to take ownership of their work isn’t a project for tomorrow, it’s a project for yesterday.
