This week, Fuze hosted our second annual productfest, a virtual event that featured product leaders across the Fuze organization.
The event included presentations from myself, Clement Wehrung & Colleen White, Directors of Product Management, and Liz Dube, our Director of User Experience. We wanted to showcase our latest product news — including updates to our vertical solutions, applications, contact center, the Fuze for Teams integration, and more. We covered this information over the course of three sessions that were specifically designed for the analyst community, our customers, and our partners.
Overall, we wanted our attendees to leave productfest with three key takeaways about the Fuze product:
- We’ve developed specialized solutions for manufacturers and recruiters to drive productivity.
- We’ve designed a best-in-class user experience across our desktop, mobile, and web applications to support the evolving hybrid workplace, which includes a blended unified communications and contact center experience.
- We’ve introduced the premier Microsoft Teams integration in UCaaS with both an embedded integration and streamlined direct routing. This allows customers to mix and match license types.
In addition to hosting productfest, we also made two announcements yesterday: our platform enhancements update and we introduced Walkie-Talkie Mode and a new RealWear solution.
Our new platform release features expanded functionality to meet several key enterprise requirements. We focused on faster and easier interactions for remote workers. We did this by adding improved meeting capabilities such as background blur, improved security, enhanced voice and video quality, and new screenshare from chat to make collaborating remotely simpler, faster, and more efficient. We also understand the importance of interoperability, and focused on meeting users where they work, regardless of platform. Our expanded Microsoft Teams integration includes an enhanced calling experience through new flexible direct routing, and enhanced access to call history for Fuze users with any Teams license. Our new hybrid mode and Fuze Contact Center agent tab for improved hybrid collaboration across the Fuze and Microsoft Teams platforms.
We also revealed the expansion of our Fuze for Manufacturing offerings with Fuze Walkie-Talkie Mode. Fuze Walkie-Talkie Mode combines the familiarity and ease of use of voice with the asynchronous flexibility and immediacy of chat, enabling users to send instant audio messages and have them automatically played upon receipt. This new capability creates a hands-free communication option, while working in the field, on a factory floor, or in transit. We know that hands-free communication is crucial to ensure worker safety.
And finally, we announced a new RealWear solution. Fuze’s solution with RealWear’s assisted reality wearable devices provides workers with instant hands-free access to meetings, calling, and messaging within a heads-up display. Operating on an Android mobile device, it utilizes a front-facing HD camera to capture photos and share live video footage with remote experts to help troubleshoot and resolve tasks like equipment maintenance, installation, and inspection more efficiently while on-site. Both Walkie-Talkie Mode and the RealWear solution are directly accessible via the Fuze mobile application.
We continue to expand our platform to promote scalability, security, and reliability for all of our customers and partners, while offering flexible connectivity options. We’re thrilled to share these recent product updates and innovations, and, as always, we stay committed to innovating and remaining a visionary in the UCaaS space.
