We moved! A new company hub, right in the Hub

Today is a big day for Fuze. Not only are we announcing the opening of our new Boston hub in Copley Square, but it also marks a commitment to our employee-centric philosophy as we unveil our new “Work from Anywhere” policy.

For our largely mobile and global workforce, it quickly became apparent that this would be no ordinary office search. When it comes down to it, we are all different and diverse. Each of our employees has a unique work style and it was important to us to embrace individualism when thinking about a new office space. (I’ll write more on personalization in the workplace in a later blog post). In surveying our team, the message came through loud and clear: Employees wanted to take advantage of Fuze’s UCaaS technology to add more flexibility to their work arrangement. In fact, the majority of Fuzers (70 percent) were already working from home at least one day a week, and many wanted the option to work from home more often.

The new Boston hub features huddle spaces and flexible individual workspace environments designed to cater to the valuable face-to-face interactions that our employees told us was most important to their productivity in the office. At the same time, Fuze’s new “Work from Anywhere” policy will encourage employees to be open and communicate with their peers on the schedule that works best for them, and best drives productivity and success for their team overall.

The most controversial decision employees faced around the Boston hub turned out to be the naming of conference rooms. By the way, “sandwiches” was the winning theme. The marketing team revolted when someone clever tried to name their conference room bologna and quite a debate raged over whether a burrito is a sandwich. We look forward to hosting our next customer meeting in our new boardroom, Lobster Roll.

We are excited to enter this next phase of our journey as we nurture growth through product innovation, superior customer experiences, and by giving our number one asset – our employees –  the flexibility they need to do their best work.
