Our #NEVYs16 Recap: Giddy Up!

May 19, 2016 by Amanda Maksymiw

So a cowboy, a VC, and an entrepreneur walk into a bar...

This isn't the start to a bad joke. That was the scene at the House of Blues in Boston last evening! Boston's best in tech, life sciences, and VC got gussied up to celebrate the New England ecosystem. The NEVY awards corralled over 700 venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to honor the greatest accomplishments in New England’s private tech and healthcare companies over the past year. It was a night of music, fun, and recognition of the great startup community that is flourishing right here in our hometown.

Saddle Up, Partner

The last year has been one of tremendous growth for Fuze. We expanded rapidly and nearly tripled the size of our team, advanced our products, acquired amazing companies, revealed a new brand, and announced our largest round of funding to date.

The NEVYs celebrate the people who are hard at work creating next-gen companies that matter and we couldn't be more excited to be named the "Next Pillar Tech Company" by the New England Venture Capital Association at this year's event. This award is especially meaningful to us since it signals something big. We're working hard to transform the way businesses communicate and collaborate through voice, video, and other channels and we're proud to be based in the Boston-area.

It goes without saying that we can't thank our team enough for the dedication, hard work, and focus. It's crucial to our ability to build something great at Fuze. This award goes out to every Fuzer!

Many thanks to the New England Venture Capital Association for the award and many congrats to other winners: Accion Systems, Toast, TJ Parker & Elliot Cohen of PillPack, Jennifer Lum, Katie Rae of Project 11, General Catalyst, Rapid7, Langley Steinert of CarGurus, Decibel Therapeutics, Rosana Kapeller of Nimbus Therapeutics, David Grayzel of Atlas Ventures, Editas Medicine, Runkeeper, Atlas Ventures, and Mary Lynne Hedley of Tesaro.
