Reflections on building a complete vision and designing a plan to execute it
It’s been a busy six months at Fuze. We've rebranded the company. We’ve expanded our global footprint with offices and data centers and more than doubled our staff throughout Europe and Asia Pacific to support our growing enterprise customer base. We’re accelerating product innovation with a focus on the modern, connected worker. We’ve invested in our partner networks. We’ve even won some awards and recognition along the way, including being named the Next Pillar Tech Company by the New England Venture Capital Association, a Hot Vendor in Aragon Research’s most recent “Hot Vendors in Unified Communications and Collaboration, 2016” report (July 20, 2016), and our CEO Steve Kokinos was named 2016 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® in New England.
In that spirit today we are pleased to share that Gartner, Inc. has named Fuze a Leader in its 2016 Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service, Worldwide report. There are times when it is only fitting to pause and take note of how our investments over the past six months are impacting the business, helping our customers, and being recognized in the market.
With our focus on the future, our vision remains the same: building a complete UCaaS portfolio delivering enterprise voice, video and web collaboration, modern messaging, and contact center support all on a single cloud platform. A platform that grows with you and powers your business conversations. A platform that helps you and your teams thrive in this always-on world.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- Enhancements – The acquisition of Fuze in late 2015 significantly enhanced our video, web, screen sharing, and audio conferencing capabilities, complete with 1080p resolution and interoperability with third-party systems (e.g., Cisco, Polycom).
- Innovation – Fuze has a strong innovation engine of new capabilities spanning analytics, workstream collaboration, customer identity graphs and enhanced portals, in addition to our video offering.
- Growth – Fuze revenue exceeded 40 percent organic growth in the past year, led by a major investment in European operations.
- User Experience – Users say that Fuze provides an intuitive in-app experience. This allows the modern worker to tap their smartphones as their primary means of business communications.
I could go on and on about how excited we all are about this positioning (and trust me, we are). We work hard here, and to have that hard work acknowledged in this way is an amazing feeling.
Leadership is just as much about having a complete vision as it is about having a plan to execute on that desired state. Sure, we’ve expanded our global capacity. And yes, we’re recognized as one of the most robust unified communications platforms on the market (just see what some of our customers have to say). But there is always more work to be done, integrations to complete, service to improve, and functionality to innovate.
It's often said that success breeds complacency. We think quite the opposite. Making communication meaningful and collaboration authentic continues to be the guiding principles behind a successful platform that is easy to use, nurtures productivity, and delivers a personalized experience. A platform that is reliable and built for how you work. We don’t think that’s too much to ask.
As we are all humbled by our positioning as a leader, we’re simultaneously rolling up our sleeves and digging into what more can be done. We look forward to all that lies ahead in this exciting and dynamic market. Thanks for pausing to allow us to share this recognition.
