#ViewFromMyOffice 2016: And the winner is…

My, oh my how fast the summer goes by.

It seems like just yesterday we were packing our bags for Memorial Day Weekend. Now with Labor Day around the corner and back-to-school season in session, we’re all mentally preparing for autumn.

Despite the end of summer weather (and summer business hours), kudos to the brave few who are still packing their schedule with destinations and plans. Technology has enabled those in the working world to maximize their summer experience while remaining connected to their careers. A job is no longer something that needs to come in the way of living your life. Technology that supports remote work has made it so the professional and the personal are no longer mutually exclusive.

It’s in that spirit that we launched the #ViewFromMyOffice Twitter contest earlier this summer. From lakes, beaches, mountains, and beyond, we invited professionals to share the view from their remote working locations to demonstrate the work / life balance achievable through technology. Even a few of our own employees jumped in to share their views (DISCLAIMER: sorry, Fuzers, you’re not eligible for entry but we appreciate the enthusiasm!)

We had a number of fantastic submissions, but there can only be one winner of the $250 Hotels.com gift card. And the winner is…

Particularly among millennials, remote working is an increasingly expected benefit. As employers navigate these new realities and expectations, it is more important than ever to think strategically about the tools that can enable work-from-anywhere while helping teams be collaborative and productive, regardless of the view from their office.
