Inclusion on ‘50 on Fire’ list punctuates strong year highlighted by revenue growth, new funding, industry awards
Fuze, the leading cloud-based communications platform provider for the modern global enterprise, today announced that the company has been named to the BostInno 50 on Fire list, recognizing the inventors, disrupters, luminaries, and newsmakers across all industries that made a significant impact in Boston in 2017.
Fuze has posted successes in a number of areas this past year, including: growing revenues, increasing adoption of its desktop and mobile platform, moving to a new downtown Boston headquarters, expanding its global footprint, adding new top executives, attracting new funding, broadening its product line, and issuing a groundbreaking new study about the workplace of the future.
“Fuze has truly hit its stride in 2017,” said Colin Doherty, CEO, Fuze. “Our inclusion on BostInno’s 50 on Fire is a testament to how hard our organization has worked to establish our leadership position in the market and distinguish ourselves as a top performer in an industry known across the globe for being a hotbed of innovation.”
Fuze provides a platform that today’s global enterprises use to enable their employees to work the way they want, when they want, and where they want. The company solidified its lead in its market segment – Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) – growing its subscription revenue by 51 percent year over year and increasing adoption of its desktop and mobile platform by more than 300 percent in the past six months. The company has also made a commitment to Boston itself, moving its headquarters from Cambridge into a 51,000-square-foot hub in Copley Place. At the time of the office opening, Fuze announced a new “Work from Anywhere” policy for employees, encouraging teams to collaborate with their managers to design personalized, flexible programs for where and how they can do their best work.
This recognition as one of Boston’s impact players reflects the company’s solid standing in its industry and in the city’s fast-growing technology community. The “50 on Fire” award adds to a list of accolades Fuze achieved in 2017, having been named to the Forbes Cloud 100 for the second consecutive year. The company’s new policy and people-first culture also contributed to its designation as a Readers’ Choice winner for BostInno’s 2017 Coolest Companies Competition.
“50 on Fire” winners were selected based on a list of criteria created by the BostInno team, including user or revenue growth, innovation and contributions to the Boston community. Inclusion on the list is based on the expertise of anonymous judges as well as BostInno’s community of readers.
